Everland, operated by Samsung C&T’s Resort Group, is unveiling “Fortune Market” as the February theme of its monthly special event program, the Whatever Series.

The Whatever Series is a monthly project that highlights a single concept each month, offering visitors limited-period experiences shaped around seasonal moments and familiar themes. Following January’s “Bungeoppang Rush,” February’s theme centers on Lunar New Year, transforming the park into a fortune-inspired market that invites visitors to begin the year with positive energy and reflection.

A Fortune-Inspired Experience

Running throughout February, Fortune Market brings together traditional New Year symbolism and contemporary interpretations of fortune-telling. The concept is designed to be approachable and lighthearted, focusing on encouragement, comfort, and shared moments rather than prediction alone.

Visitors can explore a variety of fortune-themed experiences across the park, including tarot readings, saju (Korean for four pillars of destiny), flower-based fortune readings, and AI-powered fortune services. The content is structured to be inclusive of all ages, allowing friends, couples, and families to enjoy the experience together while reflecting on the year ahead.

An Interactive Experience Shaped by Lunar New Year Traditions

In recent years, interest in fortune-related content has grown, particularly among younger audiences, as fortune-telling evolves into a shared and social experience rather than a solitary one. Digital tools and AI-based services have further expanded how people engage with these traditions, encouraging conversation, interpretation, and lighthearted reflection among friends.

Fortune Market reflects this shift by blending familiar cultural elements with modern formats. Alongside interactive fortune-themed experiences, Everland enhances the Lunar New Year atmosphere with seasonal offerings such as tteokguk, the traditional rice cake soup enjoyed during the holiday. Together, the content and culinary elements create a cohesive New Year experience that combines exploration, reflection, and celebration across the park.

Visual Storytelling and Character Content

In the lead-up to the event, Everland has introduced Fortune Market through a series of visual teasers featuring playful storytelling and character content. Imagery includes a horse character symbolizing the Year of the Red Horse, along with traditional symbols of good fortune, while promotional visuals also feature Everland’s characters, Lenny and Lara, dressed in hanbok for the Lunar New Year.

Additional teaser content will continue to be released ahead of the opening, introducing Fortune Market through light, story-driven visuals.

An Everland official said the park hopes visitors will leave Fortune Market with “a sense of good fortune and positive energy,” adding that familiar New Year traditions have been reinterpreted through Everland’s own creative storytelling.
