- Samsung C&T Fashion Group highlights “Layered” styling as a defining trend for the 2026 Spring–Summer season
- Brands including KUHO, BEANPOLE LADIES, 8SECONDS, kuho plus, anggae, and SAND SOUND reinterpret layering through creative styling and versatile new pieces

As the fashion market enters the Spring–Summer season, one keyword stands out: Layered.
Samsung C&T Fashion Group announced on February 25 that it is proposing layered styling as a core fashion trend for the upcoming season, introducing new products and styling approaches across its portfolio of brands.
According to search data from SSF Shop, Samsung C&T Fashion Group’s online shopping platform, searches related to “layered” increased by 89% year-on-year between January 1 and February 22. The data signals rising consumer interest in layered fashion, which allows individuals to express their unique style by creatively combining everyday wardrobe staples.
This growing trend is also supported by broader lifestyle shifts. Increased weather variability has driven demand for wearing multiple lightweight layers that can adapt throughout the day. At the same time, a culture of more mindful consumption has encouraged customers to reinterpret items already in their wardrobes, refreshing their look through new combinations rather than purchasing entirely new outfits.
Creative Styling Takes Center Stage
At the heart of today’s layered trend is creative styling.
Rather than following fixed formulas, consumers are mixing colors, textures, and moods to create dimension and personal expression. Familiar wardrobe essentials such as shirts, knitwear, and T-shirts are stacked in unexpected ways to produce new visual interest.
Classic sweater-and-shirt combinations are being refreshed by intentionally revealing shirt cuffs, collars, and hems. Layering two shirts or cardigans in contrasting colors further emphasizes depth and contrast.
The skirt-over-pants styling that gained popularity last year continues to evolve. Pairing black slacks with a pleated skirt creates a refined mood, while adding a white skirt over denim delivers a freer, more relaxed sensibility. Accessories also play a key role: scarves are styled not only around the neck but at the waist or in the hair, and shirts or knits can be casually tied around the waist for an effortless layered effect.
Distinct Interpretations Across Brands
Samsung C&T Fashion Group’s brands have embraced the layered trend in their own distinctive ways.
KUHO and BEANPOLE LADIES
KUHO presented refined layered styling by combining shirts or jackets in contrasting colors. Details such as exposed cuffs, collars, and hems beneath hooded outerwear add subtle differentiation and depth.
BEANPOLE LADIES offered its own brand interpretation, layering short-sleeve pique shirts over classic shirts and pairing quarter-zip tops with striped shirts. These combinations reimagine timeless items through a contemporary lens while maintaining the brand’s signature sensibility.
8SECONDS and kuho plus
For customers who find layering challenging, 8SECONDS and kuho plus introduced products designed to simplify the look.
8SECONDS developed items that deliver a layered effect within a single piece. These include skirt-pants designs, T-shirts that combine long-, short-, and sleeveless elements, and knitwear featuring shirt details. Selected pieces can be separated and worn individually, enhancing practicality and versatility.
kuho plus also received strong responses for its layered-style items. A Henley-neck T-shirt designed to resemble two garments layered together quickly entered additional production following its launch.
anggae and SAND SOUND
Known among customers for its distinctive layered aesthetics, anggae showcased creative styling that expands the boundaries of garment use. In one example, a tube top typically worn as an upper garment is wrapped around the waist as an accent piece, demonstrating the flexibility and expressive potential of layered fashion.
SAND SOUND proposed freer shirt layering by combining striped and check shirts and intentionally fastening buttons asymmetrically to highlight individuality.
Expressing Individual Style Through Layered Fashion
“This spring, we expect to see more diverse and creative layered styling than ever before,” said a representative from Samsung C&T Fashion Group. “We encourage customers to explore layered fashion that enhances dimension and highlights individual taste.”
Layered styling is evolving beyond a seasonal trend into a versatile approach to everyday dressing. By combining familiar wardrobe essentials in new ways, customers can create depth, contrast, and personal expression while maintaining practicality for changing weather conditions.
Samsung C&T Fashion Group’s SS26 collections reflecting the layered trend are available through SSF Shop, where customers can explore styling inspiration and discover key seasonal items across its brands.
