Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Group, has released new photos of its newest baby panda, who was born through Korea’s third natural giant panda breeding and has now reached three weeks of age.

The photos, taken on June 23 when the baby panda was 21 days old, show her beginning to look more like a giant panda, with a slightly rounder body and increasingly clear black markings around her eyes, ears, shoulders, arms, and legs.

Born at Panda World on June 3 at 10:53 a.m., the baby panda is the daughter of mother Ai Bao and father Le Bao. She follows Fu Bao, born in 2020, and twin pandas Rui Bao and Hui Bao, born in 2023, as the fourth female giant panda to be born in Korea.

A New Chapter for the Bao Family

The baby panda’s birth marks another meaningful milestone for Everland’s Bao family. After welcoming Fu Bao and later the twin pandas Rui Bao and Hui Bao, Ai Bao and Le Bao have once again become parents through natural breeding.

For many visitors and panda fans, the Bao family has become one of Everland’s most beloved stories. The arrival of the newest baby panda continues that story, offering another chance to follow the early growth of a giant panda from birth.

At just three weeks old, the baby panda is still in the earliest stage of development. However, the changes in her appearance are already becoming more noticeable, especially as the black-and-white features associated with giant pandas begin to appear more clearly.

Healthy Growth in Her First Three Weeks

During a health check conducted on her 21st day, the baby panda weighed 670 grams. Compared to her birth weight of 171 grams, she has grown to nearly four times her original weight in just three weeks.

Both the baby panda and Ai Bao are currently in good health. Everland zookeepers, including Kang Cheol-won and Song Young-kwan, together with veterinarians and a panda expert dispatched from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, are continuing around-the-clock care to support Ai Bao’s recovery after birth and assist with the baby panda’s early development.

According to Kang Cheol-won, zookeeper at Everland, the baby panda appears to be growing faster than her older sisters. He noted that this may be thanks to Ai Bao’s experienced nursing and parenting skills, built through successfully raising Fu Bao, Rui Bao, and Hui Bao.

Ai Bao’s steady care is playing an important role in the baby panda’s early growth. With close support from Everland’s panda specialists, the newborn is being carefully monitored during this important period, when stable feeding, rest, and maternal care are essential.

Following the Baby Panda’s Growth

Everland will continue sharing updates on the baby panda’s growth through the Everland YouTube channel, PPUPPA tv : animal world YouTube channel, and the Zootopia Naver Cafe.

Through these channels, panda fans will be able to follow the baby panda’s early milestones as she continues to grow under Ai Bao’s care. From her first visible panda markings to future updates on her health and development, Everland plans to share the newest member of the Bao family’s journey with the public.
