As September evenings settled over Seoul, Samsung C&T Fashion Group’s LEBEIGE invited guests into a world where tradition and modernity converged. On September 2, the brand hosted Gala de LEBEIGE at the Korea Furniture Museum, curating an evening of fashion, art, music, and gastronomy under the theme “Korean Aesthetics.”

The event placed a spotlight on the 2025 Fall/Winter Signature Coat Collection, which reinterprets the beauty of Korean lines, space, and restraint into modern silhouettes. LEBEIGE’s premium coats drew attention for their three-dimensionality, spatial presence, and timeless sophistication.

Salon de LEBEIGE: Art Meets Heritage

In collaboration with contemporary artists, LEBEIGE also introduced the Salon de LEBEIGE project. The collection bridged the brand’s heritage with the philosophies of two artists:

  • Heechan Kim, a New York–based artist, uses natural materials and traditional craftsmanship to explore the relationship between objects, people, and nature. His sculptural work Untitled #19 visualizes the transformation of wood into a living form, while his collaboration with LEBEIGE produced a capsule collection of 12 pieces—including dresses, skirts, knits, pants, and bags—designed with bold curves and respect for raw materials.
  • Jungmo Kwon, inspired by the latticework of hanok windows—the wooden-framed structures of traditional Korean houses—reimagined light through hanji, traditional Korean mulberry paper. His contribution brought a contemplative interplay of illumination and space, echoing the restrained beauty of Korean architecture.

Together, these collaborations transform garments into cultural dialogues, expanding fashion into the realm of art and lifestyle. As Kim noted, “Clothing and sculpture may seem different but can move in the same direction… working with LEBEIGE, which pursues restraint and material philosophy, was a valuable experience.”

LEBEIGE team lead Hyejeong Yang added, “With respect for artistic excellence and permanence, this project continues our journey of reinterpreting Korean beauty and building on the brand’s heritage through diverse collaborations.”

Music and Culinary Pairings

The Gala’s atmosphere extended beyond fashion and art into other sensory dimensions. A highlight of the evening was the performance by violinist Danny Koo, who reinterpreted classical works with a contemporary sensibility, weaving a musical bridge between tradition and modernity.

Guests also enjoyed culinary creations by Chef Austin Kang of contemporary Korean dining restaurant Mukjeong. His finger foods, rooted in Korean fermentation, offered a gastronomic experience that mirrored the refined aesthetics of the garments on display.

A Space for Cultural Connection

Attended by press, VIP clients, and industry insiders, Gala de LEBEIGE underscored the brand’s role in linking heritage with contemporary culture. More than a one-night occasion, the event connected to LEBEIGE’s broader cultural journey, which continues with Salon de LEBEIGE at ZIP739 Hannam until September 17. There, visitors can experience Kim’s artwork alongside the capsule collection, extending the Gala’s vision into a public exhibition.

“The Gala de LEBEIGE was a meaningful occasion to fully express the brand’s pursuit of Korean heritage and modern sensibility,” said Youngmi Park, Executive Vice President of Samsung C&T Fashion Group’s Women’s & Contemporary Division. “Within the serene setting of the Korea Furniture Museum, we were able to offer a multi-layered experience where fashion, art, gastronomy, and music resonated together.”
