Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Group, has announced an exciting year-long collaboration with the Samsung Lions, with the beloved Bao Family taking center stage as special supporters of the baseball team. This collaboration is designed to provide a unique experience for both baseball fans and theme park visitors alike.

A Story-Driven Collaboration

As professional baseball continues to attract fans of all ages, Everland’s Bao Family will introduce an imaginative storyline that brings pandas into the baseball world. The story follows panda siblings Rui Bao and Hui Bao, who are discovered playing with a baseball and bat in Panda World. Inspired by the sport, they are scouted by the Samsung Lions and begin their journey as aspiring athletes.

Rui Bao, known for her intelligence and precision, takes on the role of a smart pitcher, while Hui Bao, a powerful and energetic character nicknamed “Hu Dong-seok,” becomes a formidable batter. With guidance from their father, Le Bao, they train hard and grow into key players who contribute to the team’s victories. Fans can follow this heartwarming journey through social media content, including videos and images showcasing their progress.

Special Events and Exclusive Merchandise

The first major event of this collaboration took place at the end of January, with Rui Bao and Hui Bao officially joining the Samsung Lions as honorary child members. The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives, including Vice President Bae Taek-young of Samsung C&T Resort Group and General Manager Lee Jong-yeol of the Samsung Lions.

Starting in late February, new Samsung Lions child members will receive exclusive Bao Family-themed items, including uniforms, hats, and backpacks. Then, in late March, Everland will launch a pop-up store featuring over 30 exclusive collaboration goods, allowing fans to take home their favorite Bao Family and Samsung Lions memorabilia.

A Must-See Event: Everland & Lions Week

One of the highlights of this collaboration will be Everland & Lions Week, set to take place in early May. During this special event, Everland’s head zookeeper, Kang Cheol-won, will take to the mound for a ceremonial first pitch. Meanwhile, Samsung Lions players will take the field in specially designed Bao Family-themed uniforms, adding a fun and immersive element to the game.

“We are thrilled to bring together the Bao Family and Samsung Lions in this creative and entertaining way,” said an Everland representative. “We hope fans will enjoy watching Rui Bao and Hui Bao grow into great baseball players—even if it’s just in our imaginations!”

Bringing Fans Together Through Sports and Storytelling

This isn’t Everland’s first foray into sports collaborations. Last year, Everland teamed up with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) to launch limited-edition goods featuring the panda characters from Lessey & Friends, which were met with an enthusiastic response from fans.

Building on that success, Everland and Samsung Lions are now bringing a fresh blend of sports and storytelling to audiences, offering an immersive and delightful experience for visitors of all ages.
