But Samsung E&C is committed to safeguarding its processes. Hence, E&C\u2019s very own specialist task force dedicated to bringing construction into the new age has developed its Smart Equipment Management System for Safety (SEMSS) \u2013 the very latest in site safety frameworks. Each piece of heavy equipment on a site has several indicators that display work data. After each usage, managers traditionally manually inspect the indicators to ensure machine health, a lengthy process that can cause inefficiencies \u2013 and on occasion, oversights \u2013 in a project\u2019s process. Thanks to the intelligent reporting and cloud-based sharing of SEMSS\u2019s IoT sensor network, managers can now receive this information straight to their smartphones as well as the main situation room of the site, allowing them to check and monitor equipment conditions anywhere and in real time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For heavy lifting equipment, the increased situational control and machine awareness offered by SEMSS is substantial. Previously, the capabilities of these vast machines could only be checked from inside the crane tower, but with the help of a specialized endoscope camera, SEMSS allows workers to monitor via smart device the lifting capabilities of multiple cranes and their working times simultaneously.
