But the two are in fact much more closely related than you think. At the same time, it\u2019s equally important to ensure the safety of visitors while they are having fun. And Park\u2019s expansive background reflects the in-depth knowledge required to\u00a0fulfil\u00a0these duties at Everland.<\/p><p>Park\u2019s career began in designing bridges. While the rides may seem very different, they share similar design and production processes. \u201cWe never do the same thing twice, so we are always searching for new ideas,\u201d Park says.<\/p><p>Research for a new ride typically begins with analysis of the latest trends in theme park design as well as other forms of entertainment. In recent projects, the attraction planner says he has also been collaborating with start-ups to bring new ideas and technology to Everland.<\/p><p>\u201cMy heart starts pounding with excitement every time we begin a new project,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s a journey that never gets old.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4b71e11 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4b71e11\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Ups and Downs<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb345fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eb345fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Creating a new attraction from start to finish is never easy. With potential problems and unforeseen challenges at every corner, it\u2019s a process that requires persistence and patience. Despite the difficulties, Park says the reward and satisfaction he receives at completion far outweighs the frustrations.<\/p><p>Mega Storm, the 37-meter slide at Caribbean Bay, was one of the most memorable projects Park says he has worked on. During the design and construction phase, all the calculations showed the slide would work perfectly. I conducted over 1,000 test runs for the ride.\u201d<\/p><p>The problem was fixed just before opening and Park remembers clearly watching the first visitors going on the slide.<\/p><p>\u201cI watched six men screaming and shouting as they went down the slide. It was a real cathartic moment and all my exhaustion vanished,\u201d he says.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eea4b15 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"eea4b15\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What a Ride<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c165b42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c165b42\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>After working as an attraction planner for over a decade, Park says effective communication skills is crucial to his success.<\/p><p>\u201cEvery project is the result of collaboration.
