Fuel cells can be applied to various applications, from transportation to power generation.<\/p><p>In the past, we introduced the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsungcnt.com\/en\/fossil-fuel-alternative-set-power-asia-beyond\/\">rise of fuel cells and how they work<\/a>. There are various types of fuel cells depending on the electrolyte used in the fuel cell. And depending on the type, there are differences in characteristics such as operating temperature, efficiency, and use.<\/p><p>Fuel cells have numerous strengths. Firstly, they are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.californiahydrogen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/doe_fuelcell_factsheet.pdf\">more efficient<\/a>\u00a0than conventional thermal power generation due to less energy loss during the energy conversion process. Moreover, they are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/energies.airliquide.com\/resources-planet-hydrogen\/fuel-cell\">environmentally friendly<\/a>\u00a0because they release no harmful emissions, produce very little noise or vibration, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ballard.com\/docs\/default-source\/web-pdf's\/recycling-technical-note_final.pdf\">can be recycled<\/a>. Samsung C&amp;T T&amp;I has also signed an MOU with Namhae Chemical and Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) to import clean hydrogen.
