Generating electricity and powering our cities with cleaner resources is important for our health and the environment. Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power are great alternatives for energy production but rely heavily on weather conditions. Co-firing is the process of generating electricity by combining more than one fuel type. The project comes as the demand for clean energy solutions in Korea and around the world increases.<\/p><p>The terminal will include facilities for storing, unloading, and transporting ammonia. A 30,000-ton storage tank will be used to compress and store ammonia for co-firing power generation. The terminal will also use a fuel blend comprised of at least 20% ammonia for co-firing with coal to reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-144ca88 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"144ca88\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-medium\">Safety First, Always <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87c11d9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"87c11d9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Safety is a key pillar for the Samsung C&amp;T E&amp;C Group\u2019s operations, and this project is no exception. The ammonia import terminal will include a storage tank facility that will have a double wall structure instead of a single wall structure to ensure safety. To improve the safety of the storage tank, detection and blocking systems will be installed and real-time environmental material monitoring systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b6d6b92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b6d6b92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-medium\">Reducing Emissions<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5846358 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5846358\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Once complete, project owner Korean Southern Power CO.,Ltd.
