From delivery and mobility services to operational support within buildings, automation is moving beyond experimentation toward real-world deployment that supports people in their daily environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Against this backdrop, Samsung C&amp;T E&amp;C Group is expanding its autonomous food delivery robot service, enabling meals to be delivered directly to individual apartment unit doors. The service reflects the Group\u2019s efforts to apply robotics in ways that are reliable, people-centered, and grounded in real-world operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automation for Residential Convenience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As delivery services become an increasingly familiar part of daily routines, residential environments are also adapting to support more seamless and convenient ways of receiving goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within shared living spaces, robotics is increasingly being applied to support tasks that require repeatability, consistency, and reliable movement. From operational support to mobility and delivery functions, automation helps streamline processes, reduce manual workload, and support stable day-to-day services in residential environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advances in autonomous navigation and system integration have allowed delivery robots to operate naturally within apartment buildings, coordinating with existing infrastructure and residential layouts. As a result, door-to-door delivery services can be carried out smoothly without disrupting daily routines in shared living spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Pilot to Door-to-Door Service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The expanded service follows a successful pilot conducted last year at Raemian Leaders One in Seocho-gu, Seoul. During the pilot, the Group collaborated with autonomous robotics company Neubility to verify the feasibility of delivering food directly to apartment units within a residential complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residential environments present unique challenges for robotics deployment, including secure access control, navigation through shared spaces, and coordination with building infrastructure. Through the pilot, Samsung C&amp;T E&amp;C and Neubility addressed key technical barriers such as automated opening of communal entrance doors and integration with elevator call systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following discussions with the residents\u2019 representative council and on-site management office, the Group established a fully commercialized door-to-door delivery service, allowing robots to deliver food directly to individual apartment entrances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resident response during the pilot period was highly positive. A survey of 113 participating residents showed a satisfaction rate of 95 percent. Each delivery is securely locked and can only be accessed by the intended recipient, helping prevent damage and ensuring food arrives intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By limiting the movement of external delivery personnel within residential areas, the service also helps reduce safety risks, minimize conflicts related to outsider access, and improve overall community security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting this year, Samsung C&amp;T E&amp;C has expanded the service area beyond the immediate vicinity of Raemian Leaders One. Through integration with Yogiyo, the delivery network now includes approximately 130 food and beverage establishments located within a 1.2-kilometer radius, significantly broadening residents\u2019 Rather than replacing workers, automation is being applied to relieve pressure on on-site teams while improving consistency, safety, and productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samsung C&amp;T E&amp;C has introduced construction robotics across a range of projects, supporting tasks such as rebar work, drilling, and other site operations in Korea and overseas.
