Imagine arriving home to a parking space reserved just for you, your electric vehicle charging automatically, and your elevator already waiting by the time you step inside. Samsung C&T E&C Group is spearheading the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across residential and commercial spaces, delivering innovative solutions that enhance everyday life.

Smarter Living Begins at Home

At Samsung C&T E&C Group’s Raemian apartment complexes, the integration of AI is turning everyday routines into seamless experiences. AI Home, the Group’s proprietary platform, connects four key systems—parking control, parking guidance, electric vehicle charging, and home networks—into a single, intelligent ecosystem.

When residents drive into the complex, AI Home scans their license plate and directs them to the most optimal parking spot, whether it’s the closest to their unit or equipped with an EV charger. Once parked, the AI system automatically initiates charging and adds the fee to their monthly bill, eliminating manual check-ins or extra steps.

The convenience doesn’t stop there. Heading out? AI Home summons the elevator to your parking level and even blinks your car’s lights in your preferred color so you can spot it instantly. In the future, intelligent video monitoring could provide an extra layer of security by automatically blurring faces in CCTV footage, safeguarding privacy while maintaining safety.

“Unlike traditional IoT systems that simply connect devices, AI Home adds intelligent analysis and automation,” a Group representative shared. “It tailors each experience to the individual resident.”

Meet Homeniq: The AI Home Assistant

Beyond infrastructure, Samsung C&T E&C Group is enhancing daily life with Homeniq, a next-generation home platform that integrates key residential services into a single application. The platform provides features such as smart device control, community facility reservations, vehicle management, digital administration, and lifestyle services, enabling residents to manage everyday needs with convenience and efficiency.

HOMENIQ is already actively used by over 60,000 households across a growing number of apartment complexes. While initially introduced in Samsung C&T projects, it is now expanding its reach to other residential brands through partnerships with construction companies such as Hanwha, Doosan, HS Hwasung, and SK ecoplant. This expansion reinforces HOMENIQ’s position as an open, scalable platform capable of delivering smart home value across diverse housing environments.

HOMENIQ’s vision goes beyond basic commands. The platform aims to proactively respond to household needs—for example, waking residents with curtains that open automatically, gradually brightening lights, and their favorite music playing. When leaving home, HOMENIQ can turn off appliances, close blinds, activate security settings, and refresh indoor air. An AI-powered energy-saving mode is also in development, designed to predict electricity usage patterns and adjust consumption to avoid higher-rate tiers, helping households manage their energy more efficiently.

“It’s like having your own J.A.R.V.I.S. at home,” said a project lead, referencing the beloved AI assistant from the Iron Man films. “In the future, you might just say, ‘Order an iced Americano,’ and it’ll be delivered right to your door.”

Expanding Intelligence to Smart Buildings

Beyond residential spaces, Samsung C&T E&C Group is expanding its platform business with Bynd, a smart building platform named by combining ‘Bind’ (connection) and ‘Beyond’ (pushing past boundaries), reflecting the Group’s vision to transform spatial experiences by connecting all devices and services to users, with initial applications focused on office buildings.

Bynd brings together all building data into a unified platform, transforming how residents interact with their environment and streamlining communication between people and spaces for greater efficiency and ease.

A key feature is Bynd AI, a chat-based assistant that allows users to perform everyday tasks such as booking meeting rooms, registering guests, reserving parking, and even placing beverage orders, all through an intuitive conversational interface that feels as natural as messaging a colleague.

Complementing the mobile platform, the Bynd Kiosk offers a 3D visual model of the building along with real-time data. With a single touch, users can manage lighting, temperature, and other key systems through a user-friendly display.

By integrating multiple user interfaces, Bynd continuously accumulates usage data to refine and expand its AI capabilities. The long-term goal is to create an intelligent building environment where systems work together to provide a smarter, more connected user experience.

“Our goal is to create a universal standard—a platform adaptable to both new and existing buildings,” said a project manager. “With Bynd, we’re laying the groundwork for a more connected, responsive urban environment.”

A New Era of Smart Living

Samsung C&T E&C Group envisions a future where AI-driven systems enhance all aspects of urban living, from construction sites to public infrastructure.

“By embedding AI into the spaces we build, we’re bringing technology closer to people,” a Group spokesperson explained. “It’s about creating environments that are not just functional, but intuitive, responsive, and human-centered.”

Through continuous innovation, the Group is paving the way for smarter, more sustainable living spaces tailored to the evolving needs of residents.
