Samsung C&T E&C Group has earned a Gold award at the 2026 London Design Awards, marking its second consecutive year of recognition at the international design competition.
This year, the Group was recognized in the Architectural Design category for the exterior and community design of Raemian One Perla. The award follows last year’s recognition for Raemian One Pentas, further highlighting Raemian’s design competitiveness on the global stage.
Global Recognition at the London Design Awards
The London Design Awards is an international design competition organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA), recognizing outstanding design and creative projects across a wide range of fields, including architecture, interior design, UX, and UI.
This year’s competition drew more than 2,000 entries from over 40 countries. Winners were selected by 38 global jurors based on evaluation criteria such as creativity, concept, and idea development.
At the 2026 awards, Raemian One Perla was recognized for its ability to move beyond the functional concept of apartments as living spaces, instead presenting a more distinctive residential experience through architecture, arrival spaces, and community interiors.
Raemian One Perla: A One-of-a-Kind Residential Experience
Raemian One Perla was designed under the theme “ONE & ONLY of the Essence,” reflecting the idea of delivering a singular and refined residential experience.
Through this concept, Samsung C&T E&C Group shaped the complex as more than a residential development, creating an environment where exterior architecture, shared arrival spaces, and community facilities work together to offer residents a more memorable lifestyle experience.
Exterior Design Defined by Unity and Depth
Raemian One Perla’s exterior design is characterized by geometric forms that emphasize both horizontal and vertical lines, creating a sense of unity across the entire complex.
The design incorporates contrast between colors and finishing materials, while curtain wall-look elements and vertical louvers add depth and three-dimensionality to the façade. Louvers refer to vertical decorative panels installed at regular intervals.
Brown-toned colors were also applied to the main residential buildings, creating a modern and refined architectural image.
Arrival Spaces Designed for a Premium Residential Experience
The wide drop-off zones, located in the basement areas of each building, were designed to create an elevated arrival experience for residents.
Horizontal stone patterns and line lighting were applied to create a premium atmosphere, while the connected common lobbies continue the same design language through stone and metal details.
By maximizing ceiling height, the lobbies also create a stronger sense of openness, spatial depth, and immersion.
Community Spaces Inspired by the Image of a Pearl
The community interiors were inspired by the meaning of the complex name “Perla,” which refers to a pearl.
Major community facilities, including the lobby, sky lounge, dining restaurant, fitness center, swimming pool, and library, were designed as spaces with artistic sensibility through Raemian’s spatial interpretation and design strategy.
The interiors highlight the textures of various premium finishing materials, while classic design elements such as herringbone patterns, mosaics, and wainscoting were applied throughout the community areas.
Together, these elements create an elegant and refined interior atmosphere that reflects Raemian One Perla’s residential identity.
Two Consecutive Years of London Design Awards Recognition
Samsung C&T E&C Group has continued to build a strong track record at international design awards.
After sweeping the world’s three major design awards in 2024, the Group achieved a total of seven awards across various international design competitions last year, including Germany’s iF Design Award and the U.S. IDEA Design Award.
Following its London Design Awards recognition for Raemian One Pentas last year, Samsung C&T E&C Group’s Gold award for Raemian One Perla this year further reaffirms Raemian’s differentiated design competitiveness on the global stage.
