Fashion’s renewed fascination with the 1990s has brought pared-back silhouettes and understated styling back into focus. For The Aperture, however, looking back is more than a seasonal reference. It’s the foundation of the brand. After exploring “Minimalism 90s” across its Spring/Summer 2026 collections, the Samsung C&T Fashion Group womenswear label is widening its lens for Fall 2026 with “Vintage Revivalist,” turning to the ideas of 1960s Minimal art while maintaining its distinctly modern point of view.

The new collection will make its debut at The Hyundai Seoul, where The Aperture will operate a limited-time pop-up at Popup Studio B on the department store’s third floor in Yeouido, Seoul, for 10 days from July 31 through August 9.

More Than Nostalgia: A Brand Language Built Across Eras

Launched in 2023, The Aperture has consistently reinterpreted iconic culture and fashion from different eras through a contemporary lens. Its recent exploration of 1990s minimalism is therefore part of a broader creative language rather than a one-off revival. By moving between decades and extracting the ideas that remain relevant, the brand gives familiar references new clarity for the present.

That point of view has resonated particularly with working women of the MZ generation. The Aperture has built its business primarily across major online fashion platforms—including SSF Shop, 29CM, and W Concept—while cultivating a dedicated following around its recognizable identity and signature pieces. Its clear branding and strategy of cultivating signature products have translated into rapid growth: sales in the first half of 2026 rose approximately 130% year on year.

The Essence of Form

For Fall 2026, The Aperture shifts from the quiet restraint of the 1990s toward the conceptual roots of minimalism. The collection takes inspiration from the “essence of form and experience” explored by 1960s Minimal art, translating the movement’s focus on shape, material, and perception into clothing. A restrained palette and clean, linear silhouettes bring this thinking into an urban wardrobe, creating a sense of elegance without excess.

The lineup reflects The Aperture’s understated approach to everyday dressing, bringing together slim sleeveless and knit tops, lightweight cardigans, clean-lined H-line skirts, relaxed trousers and Bermuda shorts. Minimal leather and raffia bags, together with ’90s-inspired wedge sandals, complete the collection’s quietly nostalgic summer wardrobe.

The Aperture has also expanded its unisex assortment for Fall 2026 to more than four times the size of last year’s offering, giving male customers a broader selection through which to experience the brand’s aesthetic.

A Pop-Up Shaped by Past and Present

The pop-up extends this vintage-revival narrative beyond the clothing. Wooden desks, daybeds, cabinets, and other vintage furniture and objects carrying the cultural context of both East and West in the 1950s and 1960s are placed throughout the store. Rather than recreating a single period, the space brings different references into conversation, visually expressing The Aperture’s approach to recasting the past for the present.

To mark the opening, all customers who make an in-store purchase will receive a 10% discount. Gifts will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis: customers spending at least KRW 300,000 will receive a T-shirt, while those spending at least KRW 500,000 will receive a belt.

More Fall Arrivals to Follow

The Aperture will continue to roll out its second and third Fall 2026 product releases in September. The upcoming assortment will broaden the season’s outerwear offering with pieces including nylon-blend jumpers, field jackets, and leather jackets.

“We planned this pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul, a key retail destination, to introduce The Aperture’s original identity to more customers and connect with them in person,” said Dongsoo Ban, Head of the Business Development Team at Samsung C&T Fashion Group. “We will continue to focus on raising brand awareness and building a loyal customer base through high-quality products and differentiated marketing strategies.”

The Aperture’s Fall 2026 pop-up will be open from July 31 to August 9 at Popup Studio B on the third floor of The Hyundai Seoul. The collection will also be available through SSF Shop beginning August 3.
