For those looking to escape the dog days of summer, there’s a more exciting way to do it than under a parasol at an overcrowded beach. Everland’s annual Summer Water Fun festival is back and bigger than ever with a wide range of summer activities to keep you feeling refreshed this season. Wet and wild performances, water gun battles, and water-themed rides make for a fun-filled day that will make you forget about the scorching summer heat.
With more fun summer activities than ever before, Everland has added new partnerships and experiences to this year’s lineup that will be sure to keep guests coming back for more.
A Water Fight of Biblical Proportions
The center of the summer festival is an entertaining water battle show that runs two to three times a day in the Carnival Plaza. Centering on a water planet in peril from a formidable villain, this year’s show takes it up a notch with a bevy of new special effects that make for a thrilling performance.
Not only do audience members get to enjoy the show – they help fight in the battle too. Over 60 performers mingle with the audience, inviting members on stage as they help complete missions and attempt to thwart the evil villain.
At the end of the show, performers invite the audience on stage for a big dance finale full of rock and dance music while they blast each other with water guns. Visitors should keep an eye out throughout the park as the characters will perform flash mobs, surprise performances, and impromptu water gun fights.
NERFS Up!
Nothing solves a sibling rivalry quite like a NERF gun. Thanks to a collaboration with the NERF toy company, families can now duke it out in the all new NERF Water Battle Zone.
From Noon through 7:00 p.m. in the Petting Zoo area, kids and families can enjoy eight different water-themed games including curling, bowling, a maze game, and a professional shooting match with super soaker water guns which are available to rent for free in the battle zone.
Players can even win a small prize by earning stamps at the event when they participate in more than three games. Play by yourself, or with friends and family that came with you and see who comes out the victor.
Ride the Wave of Fun This Summer
In addition to performances and thrilling battles, Everland also offers water attractions to beat the summer heat.
Guests can take the plunge on Thunder Falls as they fall down a 20-meter drop while being sprayed by water cannons, or brave the rapids on the Amazon Express, which takes them down a torrent of rapids as they get splashed with water.
Visitors can also get a blast of cool water on the Double Rock Spin ride, a 360-degree spinning seat that somersaults through a refreshing fountain, proving that there’s no better place to enjoy cooling off in the summer than at Everland.
