Everland and Caribbean Bay celebrate Family Month in May

Isn’t May a special month in Korea? There are lots of holidays and other commemorations in the month of May, and Korea’s spring weather is at its best. Everland and Caribbean Bay, both part of Samsung C&T Resort Group, celebrate May as “Family Month” and welcome families to visit Korea’s premier theme park and water park to celebrate May together with an abundance of things to do, see, and experience.

May the fun be with you in May at Everland

Everland in spring is always beautiful and an attractive place to visit, with gardens, thrill rides, and walking trails, but the new indoor and outdoor performances and experiences to enjoy this month make it even more appealing than usual.

Inside Everland’s big indoor concert hall, on the Grand Stage, performances of Lenny’s Colorful Dream will delight family audiences twice a day. This story about a ringmaster and circus acrobats dreaming of creating a world-class circus performance is 30 minutes of musical theater, with added excitement from the dizzying tricks, acrobatics, and aerial balancing.

Outside, in Carnival Square, there are performances of Lenny and Lara’s Magical Sketchbook, which tells the story of finding a sketchbook that makes everything that can be imagined come true. The 20-minute show of dance and magic featuring colorful, springlike costumes will touch hearts and delight the eyes and ears of family audiences.

Meanwhile, in the Four Seasons Garden full of flowers and Sanrio Characters, there are nightly multimedia fireworks shows that incorporate video, lighting effects, and dance music from around the world.

At Panda World, in Everland Zoo, there is a special family to visit in Family Month.  The Bao Family — father Le Bao, mother Ai Bao, and twin daughters Hui Bao and Lui Bao — are showing off their panda child-rearing techniques, as well as how pandas play and relax. At the nearby recently opened Ai Bao Dessert Café, families can try unique dessert items like wotou cornbread or bamboo-leaf mojito-ade drinks.

Families in May may make a splash at Caribbean Bay

What better way to spend a warm spring day than playing and relaxing with the whole family at a water park? Caribbean Bay has reopened its water play attractions, including its outdoor wave pools and its outdoor lazy river, for the warmer months of the year.

Here, families can make many memories as they swim and splash, dunk and dive, slip and slide, or simply relax in a warm or cool pool. The photo zone at the beachside resort by the outdoor wave pool and palm tree beach is a perfect location to take special family group photos.

The thrilling Mega Storm water slide ride also recently started operations again. This is one of Caribbean Bay’s top attractions, combining magnetic levitation and a tornado effect, thrilling its riders who line up again and again.

The 550-meter-long lazy river offers tired family members a chance to relieve their fatigue and stress, letting the gentle current slowly move them around the course. And of course there is also the indoor-outdoor hot spa facilities, featuring baths and saunas of varying temperatures and intensities.

It may not be summer yet, but it’s not too early to visit Caribbean Bay, and May is Family Month at both Caribbean Bay and Everland, so this month is the right time to come altogether and enjoy a memorable day.
