- Everland continues its monthly Whatever Series in March with “School of Spice,” a theme inspired by tteokbokki and the start of a new school season
- The program transforms Alpine Village into “Deokbok High School,” featuring classroom-style missions, retro snack offerings, and character-led photo experiences

As March marks the beginning of a new academic season in Korea, familiar routines return. School uniforms reappear, classrooms fill, and small everyday rituals signal the start of something new.
Reflecting this seasonal transition, Samsung C&T Resort Group’s Everland continues its monthly Whatever Series with “School of Spice,” a March theme inspired by tteokbokki, Korea’s beloved spicy rice cake dish, and nostalgic memories of school life.
Launched as a year-long project, the Whatever Series introduces a single theme each month, drawing from seasonal rhythms and everyday culture. Unlike Everland’s large-scale festivals, the series focuses on concentrated, short-term experiences that reinterpret familiar ideas in new formats.
A School-Themed Space Inspired by Tteokbokki
Beginning March 5, the festival content zone in front of Alpine Village transforms into “Deokbok High School,” a fictional school setting playfully inspired by both tteokbokki and student life.
Visitors enter through a gate designed in the shape of tteokbokki before stepping into a classroom-style environment. Staff members greet guests while taking on the roles of teachers and student monitors, reinforcing the immersive school atmosphere.
Large-scale photo installations add to the setting, including scenes of Everland’s red panda character Lesser jumping over walls or running toward tteokbokki. Twice daily, visitors can participate in photo sessions with Lesser dressed in a school uniform.
Throughout the zone, the design and storytelling elements combine food culture with lighthearted school nostalgia.

Interactive Classroom Missions and Rewards
School of Spice also features interactive programs using a coin-based system that encourages participation.
In the central classroom area, visitors take part in a mission inspired by a popular social media trend, completing a dance challenge “without the teacher noticing.” Nearby mini-game zones recreate classroom-style activities such as indoor shoe throwing, coin flicking, and milk carton curling.
Depending on mission results, participants may gain or lose coins provided at entry. Collected coins can be exchanged for prizes including Lesi stickers, retro toys, Bao Family keyrings, and Q-Pass tickets.
A themed merchandise space styled as a nostalgic stationery shop offers posters, toys, character keyrings, and pens. A limited-edition Lesser sticker draw board event is also available.

Seasonal Flavors and March Promotions
The School of Spice theme extends into Everland’s food offerings throughout March. For one month, the Snack Buster restaurant transforms into a retro-style school snack bar, designed with nostalgic menu boards and handwritten note walls reminiscent of student hangout spaces.
New menu items include marshmallow tteokbokki, Sindang-dong-style black bean tteokbokki, rice cake skewers, and cup tteokbokki, offering creative variations of Korea’s iconic spicy rice cake dish.
In addition to on-site experiences, Everland is operating limited seasonal promotions. Visitors can participate in a themed animal class president vote through the Everland mobile app, while guests who visit wearing school uniforms or varsity jackets may receive special on-site benefits during the event period.
Through School of Spice, Everland continues the monthly narrative of the Whatever Series, reinterpreting familiar cultural moments through themed environments, interactive participation, and seasonal food experiences.
The Whatever Series will continue throughout the year with new monthly themes inspired by everyday ideas and seasonal transitions.
