A Comprehensive Measure of Construction Capability

Conducted annually under Korea’s Framework Act on the Construction Industry, the assessment is designed to help project owners identify contractors with the appropriate capabilities for their projects. Rather than relying on a single performance indicator, it evaluates companies across four areas: construction performance, management status, technical capabilities, and credibility.

A total of 74,332 companies were assessed in 2026, representing 84.1% of Korea’s 88,424 registered construction companies. This broad scope makes the results a key benchmark for comparing contractors’ overall capabilities across the industry.

An Industry Benchmark Used Across Project Procurement

The 2026 assessment results take effect on August 1. They are used when setting bidding eligibility requirements and selecting contractors for construction projects, as well as in credit evaluations and guarantee reviews.

Samsung C&T’s No. 1 position recognizes its comprehensive construction capabilities through an official assessment that combines project delivery, business management, technology, and credibility. Building on this foundation, the Group will continue to strengthen its execution capabilities across complex projects in Korea and global markets.
