Samsung C&T is widely recognized for its construction business, delivering residential developments, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects. Alongside these capabilities, within Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group, a new business division has been established to focus on platform-driven innovation: the DxP Business Strategy Team.

DxP stands for Digital/Data, Experience/Multiple, and Platform. The division leads platform-based businesses that connect experiences across the spaces where people live, work, and spend their daily lives. By integrating digital technologies into physical environments, DxP aims to enhance user experiences throughout the entire lifecycle.

From residential and office environments to senior living and healthcare, the DxP Business Strategy Team is building a diverse platform lineup designed to support users across different stages of life.

Expanding Platforms Already Gaining Market Traction

Homeniq: Expanding the Residential Platform Ecosystem

Homeniq is Samsung C&T’s residential platform designed to integrate smart home services and apartment community facilities into a unified digital experience. Through a single application, residents can control smart home devices, access community services, and manage everyday living functions.

Samsung C&T has recently expanded the Homeniq ecosystem beyond its own residential brand, Raemian, through partnerships with multiple construction companies. The company signed memoranda of understanding (MOU) with SM Group’s construction division, Hoban Construction, and Daebo Construction, expanding the application of Homeniq to new residential developments across different housing brands.

Through these collaborations, residents in newly developed complexes can access a wide range of services, including home IoT control, maintenance fee payments, visitor vehicle registration, community facility reservations, and energy usage management. The platform also continues to expand its capabilities through partnerships with parking control companies, further improving convenience and operational efficiency.

Bynd: Enhancing Commercial Office Experiences

In addition to residential platforms, Samsung C&T is expanding into commercial real estate through Bynd, a smart building platform designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance asset value.

Launched in October 2024, Bynd integrates artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies to provide a connected building experience. Through the platform, building managers can monitor and control facilities such as air conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, and energy usage in real time.

Users can access a range of services through digital twin kiosks and mobile interfaces, including elevator calls, visitor registration, meeting room reservations, and device controls such as lighting and air conditioning. The platform also includes Bynd AI and Digital Twin Kiosk, which enables intuitive interaction with building systems.

Samsung C&T recently signed a MOU with Mastern Investment Management to apply the Bynd platform to commercial buildings. Through this collaboration, the plan is to implement pilot projects, evaluate performance across different environments, and develop scalable operational models. By combining platform technology with real estate asset management expertise, the partnership aims to enhance building operations and improve long-term asset value.

Preparing for Launch: Senior and Wellness Solutions

Senior Solution Expands into Aging Care Services

Samsung C&T is preparing to expand its platform ecosystem into senior living through Senior Solution, a platform designed to support aging populations with digital services tailored to their lifestyles and healthcare needs.

To support this initiative, Samsung C&T signed an MOU with senior business company Hemily to develop an AI-based senior living solution. The platform integrates artificial intelligence, data, and IoT technologies to deliver digital hospitality services connecting daily living with professional care.

The solution is designed to provide personalized wellness coaching, 24-hour safety management, and AI-based support services that enable seniors to maintain independent and active lifestyles. For operators, the platform offers real-time resident dashboards and AI chatbot management tools to improve operational efficiency.

Under the MOU, Samsung C&T will provide consulting for the detailed service planning of a senior residence within the Uiwang Medical Complex currently under development in Baekun Valley. The aim is to gradually enhance services leading up to occupancy in 2030, with the long-term goal of developing a new standard model for senior residences in an aging society.

Wellness Solution: A Total Wellness Platform

Samsung C&T is also preparing to introduce Wellness Solution, a total wellness platform designed to support users in their everyday lives. Moving beyond traditional health management, the platform aims to deliver hyper-personalized wellness experiences by integrating physical, nutritional, and mental health data into daily living environments.

As health management increasingly shifts from treatment to prevention, the DxP Business Strategy Team is developing an AI-based wellness platform that brings together physical, nutritional, and mental health services.

By connecting personal health data through a single application, the aim is to provide AI coaching, personalized diet recommendations, and tailored wellness insights. The platform is also designed to extend beyond digital services, with plans to build supporting infrastructure across residential communities, office spaces, and commercial environments. This will allow users to measure health data, purchase tailored health products, and access AI-based mental care within their everyday spaces. Solution development is currently underway, with plans for rollout in the latter half of this year.

Samsung C&T has also signed an MOU with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital as part of this initiative. Through this collaboration, the platform aims to incorporate the hospital’s chronic disease prediction AI model and validate agentic AI-based coaching services. The partnership also includes joint research on future home healthcare solutions, leveraging one of Korea’s largest health screening datasets and medical expertise.

Accelerating Innovation Through FutureScape

The rapid expansion of Samsung C&T’s DxP platforms is supported by FutureScape, the Group’s internal open innovation program that connects internal business needs with external innovation.

FutureScape identifies service needs and pain points across business units and connects them with external startups and technology companies that can provide solutions. The program also supports proof-of-concept testing to validate technologies in real-world environments and accelerate service development.

The Group recently launched the 2026 FutureScape program to discover startups with innovative technologies across areas including robotics, wellness, senior living, home platforms, and next-generation education technologies. Selected startups receive opportunities for joint development, commercialization support, and access to Samsung C&T’s infrastructure, along with cloud support and funding of up to KRW 50 million.

Over the past three years, Samsung C&T E&C has collaborated with 21 startups through FutureScape, conducting pilot projects such as AI-based mental care services for employees, XR technologies for Raemian residents, and AI translation services for construction site workers. Based on validation results, the Group continues to expand joint development, follow-up R&D, and real-world deployment.

Through this collaborative model, new service capabilities are developed while external partners gain valuable opportunities to validate and scale their technologies. By connecting internal needs with external innovation, FutureScape plays an important role in accelerating the expansion of the DxP Business Strategy Team.
