Juun.J Lifts the Lid on “Covered” 2017 Spring/Summer Line at Paris Fashion Week

Designer menswear brand Juun.J, a part of Samsung C&T’s fashion group, has successfully showcased its 2017 Spring/Summer (SS17) collection at Paris Fashion Week. The new range of clothing and accessories was met with great enthusiasm at Palais de Tokyo, a contemporary art mecca. Fashion fans can take a look at some of the photo highlights here, and also check out the 360° video below.

You can even watch the video by using a virtual reality (VR) viewer. Shot in incredible 360° detail, fans can experience every breath of the show up-close – almost as good as the view from a front row seat at Paris Fashion Week.

In total, some 600 people turned out to see Juun.J’s collection in Paris. Among the crowd were household names, such as fashion designer Jean-Victor Meyers, NBA star Serge Ibaka and some of the leading stars of the Chinese cinema industry, Zhang Guoli and Gai Xiaofei.

Fighter Fashion

Juun.J’s SS17 collection entails a daring reinterpretation of classic themes. With its “Covered” slogan, the new range offers a whole different perspective on conventional military styles.

In total, 38 new pieces were on display in Paris. A blend of urban and street themes, the predominantly black, white and khaki collection also took inspiration from the iconic G-suit (also known as the anti-gravity suit), a resilient garb worn by NATO fighter pilots in the 1950s.

As distinctive as ever, Juun.J produced unique and modern street-wear with avant-garde influences, replete with the designer’s signature classic tailoring.

The collection also reveals experiments with heavy layering – the folds and curves of the fabric express the beauty of “covering”, in contrast to “exposing.”
